DANIEL S. TEMKIN

Daniel S. Temkin (Danny) is the president and founder of Temkin International, Inc., Temkin Canada, Inc and Element Imports, LLC. He is also the president of Temkin Plastics, Inc. As president he presides over all activities at the manufacturing facilities.

Danny moved to the United States from Israel in 1976 after serving as an officer in the IDF with his ex-wife and small child, seeing California as the land of opportunity. After successfully selling his first business venture, he began what is now Temkin International, Inc. in his small garage. The company was located in California until 1993 when he moved the operation to Springville, Utah and then to Payson, UT in 2005. The company now has locations in Miami, Florida; Ontario, Canada; and Bogota, Colombia and employs over 400 people. Temkin International supplies the floral, food and gift industries with a variety of flexible film packaging products.

In 2002 Danny purchased a plastics thermo-forming company in Orem, Utah. After a quick turn-around another plastic thermo-forming company was purchased in Nevada and moved to the Orem location to further increase the 24-7 production schedule. The plastics division is now part of the Temkin International production facility in Payson, UT.

Danny was instrumental in creating the first floral trade show sponsored by the Fresh Produce and Floral Council and continues to be a participating member. He is also active in the American Flower Importers Association, Retail Packaging Manufacturers Association, and the Floral Marketing Association. Danny currently serves on the Super Floral Show Advisory Board. He also serves on the board of directors for the Children’s Museum of Utah and is part of the U.S. Bank Advisory Board.

In 2000, Danny was named Entrepreneur of the Year for the State of Utah in the field of Industrial and Consumer Product Manufacturing.

Danny considers his greatest achievement to be his family. He is married to Cimbria S. Temkin and has 4 children, Noam, Karine, Krystal and Tylor. Danny resides in Orem, Utah
